This reminds me of Daniel and the Lion’s Den; the king felt that what Daniel was doing praying and being faithful to God clashed with his decree that no one should worship any other God other than the king himself.
Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den and left overnight where God protected him. Can you imagine having faith with such power that God sends his angels to protect you?
Daniel – 6:22. My God sent His angel and shut the lionsβ mouths, and they have not harmed me, since I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.β
What about Daniel chapter 3 – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, the three Hebrew men are thrown into a fiery furnace by Nebuchadnezzar II, King of Babylon for refusing to bow to the king’s image. Yet they came out unharmed, they trusted God would protect them, and He did.
To just have a part of that kind of faith would be a powerful thing. I would love to say I have it, but it’s still something God needs to work on with me. I could pray for that kind of faith but I don’t think that would be very wise, need to be so careful what you pray for as in doing so God might throw you into the fire to show faith in action.

Hebrews – 11:6. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.
