The righteous will live by Faith
The Bible tells us to be watchful and to guard our hearts against the iniquity of sin. Evil can only enter us when we allow it to live in our hearts, like a vampire who must be let into your house. The first step to engage in this grand spiritual warfare is recognizing it exists and to genuinely examine your heart.
ROMANS 1 – 17. “For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
It’s all standing against me, why is everything going wrong. When it comes to spiritual warfare we need to take a deeper look at our actions and repent of anything that doesn’t sit right. Yes God will handle this but first it takes action from you. Repentance is action, this is what it looks like.
The first is responsibility: We must recognize that we have done wrong. The second is regret: We must have true remorse for doing wrong and for the pain and problems we’ve caused. The third is resolve: We must be committed never to repeat the act regardless of the temptations or situation.
1 JOHN 1 – 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
You are under His protection, covered in His safety. No weapon forged against you shall prosper, keep gaurd and be watchful.
2 THESSALONIANS 3 – 3. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
