– HE IS OUR ANCHOR – Hebrews 6 – 18:19. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
When things come up in life that has the ability to affect us in a certain way, it’s so important we know where our strength is. When a ship is at sea and a storm is coming does it not come inland and hold fast with an anchor?
It’s ok, I can handle the pressure of staying out in the storm because the fishing is plentiful. Have you ever watched, the deadliest catch on the TV? This kind of reminds me of that. Do not be foolish, protect what you have, because if the storm takes you out there may not even be a boat left to do what you need to do.
Sunny days are coming. In God’s timing and not in yours. Patience is a fruit that guides us and keeps us safe. Some things are too risky, so please, I say this in love, take thought.
