When you’re under attack

UNDER ATTACK

UNDER ATTACK

‘If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.’ Proverbs 24:10 NLT

For the last few days, we have talked about how to handle Satan’s attacks when they come. So, if you’re under attack today, do these:

1) Be tough. Life is a collection of battles, which means it can also be a collection of victories. ‘Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’ (1 John 4:4 KJV). Reach within and draw on God’s strength. Go ahead; He longs to show you what He can do for you. ‘For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me’ (Hebrews 13:5-6 KJV). Did you get that? ‘He hath said…so that we may boldly say’! There is power in His Word when you speak it, believe it, and act on it.

2) Depend on God’s wisdom. Jesus said, ‘Don’t worry…about how to answer the charges against you, for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply’ (Luke 21:14-15 NLT). God has given you two things that always work: your mouth and His wisdom. When unexpected things arise, the Holy Spirit within you will rise to the occasion and speak through you, so start depending on Him.

3) Trust God to stop the attack. The Bible says, ‘He causes wars to end throughout the earth’ (Psalm 46:9 NLT). God is in control, He is bigger than whatever you’re dealing with, and you’re on His mind this very moment. Your tears, your fears, and your pain have been noticed by Him – and He will move on your behalf. J and D Gass

Attack with these verses from another angle

When we feel under attack, these verses can provide comfort, strength, and encouragement. Let’s explore how each verse can support us in times of adversity:

1. 1 John 4:4 (KJV): “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

This verse reminds us that as children of God, we have the power to overcome any attacks or challenges we may face. It reassures us that the presence of God within us is greater than any force or opposition we encounter in the world. We can find strength and confidence in knowing that God is with us and will help us prevail.

2. Hebrews 13:5-6 (KJV): “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

In times of attack, this passage encourages us to trust in God’s unfailing presence and provision. It reminds us to be content with what we have and to resist the temptation of covetousness. By acknowledging God as our helper, we can boldly face our adversaries without fear, knowing that He is always by our side.

3. Luke 21:14-15 (NLTP): “So don’t worry in advance about how to answer the charges against you, for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you!”

This verse offers solace to those facing attacks by assuring them that God will provide them with the wisdom and words to respond effectively. It encourages us not to worry or be anxious about defending ourselves, as the Holy Spirit will guide our words and equip us with the necessary discernment to address our adversaries.

4. Psalm 46:9 (NLT): “He causes wars to end throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear; he burns the shields with fire.”

In moments of attack, this psalm reminds us of God’s power to bring an end to conflicts and to protect His people. It instills hope in our hearts, knowing that God has the ability to dismantle the weapons of our adversaries and to deliver us from harm. We can find refuge and strength in Him during tumultuous times.

5. Proverbs 24:10 (NLT): “If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.”

This verse serves as a reminder that challenges and attacks are opportunities for growth and resilience. It encourages us not to succumb to pressure but to draw upon our inner strength. By relying on God’s strength and leaning on Him, we can persevere and overcome any attack that comes our way.

In conclusion, these verses provide powerful reassurances and guidance for those feeling under attack. They remind us of God’s presence, provision, wisdom, and strength. By relying on Him and standing firm in His promises, we can find courage, comfort, and ultimately overcome any adversity we face.
