Matthew – 11 – 28:30 – Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
We take things on, we work and work, thinking the more I put into this the more I’ll get out of it. Do you not realize that you are burning yourself out? Everything you are building needs a certain amount of maintenance to keep it going, if you don’t find time to rest, there will come a day that despite all your efforts, it’s not going to be manageable anymore.
It’s like me when I go to the gym, if I were to train on the same muscle group every day without resting it would have no time to heal. In fact, the muscle would shrink and become weaker until a time it would be of no use for anything, it wouldn’t look good and it certainly wouldn’t work very well.
No matter how extravert you are, like me – Quite extremely, you will still need to sleep, you will still need time alone to process things and you will still need time in prayer. You can’t do this on your own, the bigger the calling the bigger the challenge. God is your guide not just you, let Him write the map. Like Jesus said.
Matthew – 6:6. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
